Biography
Hi everyone! I’m Scilla, I’m 21 years old, and I’ve been an athlete in this group for 11 years now. I started this sport almost by chance thanks to a teammate who is still part of the team today, and from that moment, I knew it would become part of my life. And here we are: today, even though I can’t always be there physically, my heart is with the team during every practice, rehearsal, and performance. But I’d like to tell you a bit more… I became the team captain in 2021. We had just returned to parading after a couple of years of the pandemic and, unfortunately, not all the girls stayed after such a long break. I’ll always remember when my coach handed me the captain’s band and said: 'I know you’ll be up to the task.' Since that day, I’ve been grateful and proud to still wear it. Because, let’s be honest, being a captain isn't that simple: you have to keep the group's morale high, especially during the most challenging times; understand your teammates' needs and support them; work together while respecting roles and valuing every girl; and, furthermore, be a reliable point of reference for the team. Being captain is a great source of pride for me. I strive to always give my best, to support my team, and to pass on the passion that has been with me for so long. Even today, every practice and performance gives me the same thrill as the first day. I truly love everything about being a majorette: the discipline, the elegance of the movements, the bond with the group, and the energy that is created when we are all together. Finally, a heartfelt thank you goes to our coach who, despite everything, is still here with us and believes in every single one of us!
